Phone Numbers · tier-1 AU carriers

Australian numbers. Yours to keep.

Local landlines, mobile numbers, 1300, 1800, premium 13 numbers and SMS — all on Australia’s major carrier networks, all routed to your phone system, Microsoft Teams, a mobile, or any mix of them. Bring your existing numbers across or grab something new.

01 · What it does

Six number types. Pick the ones that match your business.

Each number type is a different shape — geographic, free-to-call, shared-cost, broadcastable. We carry all of them on the same trunk so you can mix and match without juggling carriers.

01 / Local

Local landlines.

02, 03, 07 or 08 numbers from any Australian state — a local presence without renting an office. The simplest way to give a branch or a staff member their own line.

  • Included with your Phone System Plan
  • Free inbound calls · no call usage charges
  • Great for branch lines and staff numbers

02 · How it works

One number, many landing places.

Where the numbers land.

Every number we give you can point wherever you want — a desk phone, a Microsoft Teams user, a recorded menu, a call queue, an AI receptionist, a mobile, or a rule that changes by time of day. Move a number from one destination to another any time, without re-porting it.

Smart routing, built in.

1300 and 1800 numbers can route by time of day, day of week or the caller’s state as standard — handy for opening hours, after-hours overflow, or sending regional callers to the right team. Add a menu if you want one, or send callers straight to a queue.

Porting in, porting out.

If you already have numbers — landline, mobile, 13, 1300 or 1800 — we bring them across. Landlines usually take two to three weeks from signed authority to switch-over (mobile numbers typically move the same or next business day), and we coordinate with your current provider so nothing drops. If you ever leave, we port you out without any fuss.

Custom and premium numbers.

Premium 13 XX XX numbers carry their own monthly rental, and smart 1300/1800 words (the ones that spell something) keep the normal plan plus a one-off fee that depends on how sought-after the number is. Sometimes the perfect number is sitting there unused; sometimes it takes a little patience.

03 · Questions people ask

Before you port anything.

Can I port my existing number across?

Yes — landline, mobile, 13, 1300, 1800. We co-ordinate with your current carrier and lodge the port. Landlines typically take two to three weeks from signed authority to cutover — mobile numbers usually move the same or next business day — and we schedule the cutover for whatever time of day keeps disruption to zero.

How long does porting actually take?

Two to three weeks for a clean landline port; mobile numbers usually move the same or next business day. 1300 and 1800 ports can run slightly longer because the underlying allocation needs to move at the ACMA level too. We tell you the realistic window after we see your existing carrier records.

Can I get a memorable or "vanity" number?

Yes — through premium 13 and the smart-number range, you can have numbers that spell words (1800-PLUMBER, 1300-FENCING) or follow a memorable pattern. Premium 13 XX XX numbers have their own monthly rental, and smart 1300/1800 numbers keep the normal plan plus a one-time auction fee based on how sought-after the number is. We’ll walk you through the options and costs before anything’s locked in.

What about international calling?

International calls are charged separately, and we’ll always tell you the rates up front. What’s included on our phone systems is Local, National and Mobile calling under fair-use — international sits outside that.

Do you offer pattern matching like 1800-PLUMBER?

Yes. Smart numbers translate the keypad letters to digits — 1800-PLUMBER becomes 1800 758 6237. We shortlist options and handle the auction paperwork. They run on the standard 1300/1800 monthly plan, plus a one-time auction fee based on the number.

Can I route the same number to different places at different times?

Yes — that’s built in. You can change where a number rings by time of day, day of week or even the caller’s state (handy for sales territories). Changes take effect immediately, with no re-porting.

Can I keep my numbers if I ever leave NURV?

Yes. The numbers belong to you, not to us. If you decide to move carriers, we port them out — same paperwork, same process. We won’t make leaving harder than joining.

Numbers that land where you need them.

Tell us what you’ve got and what you need — we’ll quote the rentals, the porting, and the routing in one pass.
